Bethany, OK — Scott Humphreys has joined Oklahoma Aviation as Certified Flight Instructor, making the company the largest in Oklahoma City in terms of full time instructors.
"Customer demand has driven Oklahoma Aviation to a size surpassing all other flight schools in the city, measured by number of instructors and aircraft" said President Tom Kilpatrick. "We have been very well received, proving that people want quality flight instruction on a par with the best flight schools in the country. Scott Humphreys will help us serve even more prospective pilots as they learn to fly for fun or business or pursue a career in aviation, and as we continue to add aircraft to our fleet."
Humphreys earned his BS in Aviation Management from the University of Oklahoma. While at O.U., he was a member of the Sooner Aviation Club, a National Intercollegiate Flying Association competitor, a Sooner Flight Academy Instructor Pilot, and instructed for the University of Oklahoma Aviation Department. Humphreys previously operated a landscaping business in the Oklahoma City area and worked for Putnam City Schools as a substitute teacher.
Humphreys holds commercial pilot ratings for single-engine, multi-engine, instrument and certified flight instructor-instrument, and is studying to earn his multi-engine instructor and airline transport pilot certifications.
Oklahoma Aviation is Oklahoma's only Cessna Pilot Center, operates the newest fleet of instructional and rental aircraft in the state, and is based at Wiley Post Airport.
